We have found out that some people/companies that are managing apartments in your resort are operating illegally, as they are not qualified to do so. This means that your huge investment is not insured. If anything happens to your apartment and is managed by one of these operators, you cannot claim any insurance at all.

Are the managers of your apartment breaching trademark with their advertising? Only the Hilton can advertise their apartments as been managed by the Hilton. There have been court cases in Australia (Surfers Paradise) in the past when people have had to pay back their income received when trademark has been breached.

Is your apartment SAFE? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, you need to investigate. You have paid a lot of money for your apartment. Don’t let it be managed by people acting illegally. If they specialise in advertising on Airbnb, then you need to be worried. Ask your manager for their accreditation NOW ! If they cannot provide it to you, or tell you they do not need it, then they are operating illegally. Protect your apartment, protect your huge investment and make sure the people managing your apartment are operating legally. If the Hilton is managing it, it is legal. If a real estate agent is managing it, it is legal. Do not assume they are acting legally, ask the question.

As an owner of an apartment in this building, we do not want illegal operators in this resort. We need to protect our asset and its potential re sale value by making sure the managers in this building are professional, legally accredited operators. The risks associated with these illegal operators are not worth it. There are several managers in this building that operate legally and provide their owners with excellent returns. There is no need to risk your apartment by allowing an unaccredited person/company to manage your apartment.
