Perfect room for a family or longer stay!.... clean, comfortable, fully equipped and spacious. We were lucky and got in on great deal price for our stay. Key collection/dropoff at a different location with no parking was a bit of a pain, but its not far from motel so minor inconvenience. The location could not have been better as it's right next to Cavill Ave and about a five minute walk to the beach.The two bedroomed apartment was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. The whole process of booking this through HRSP was extremely easy, also check-in was so easy. HRSP communicated everything we needed to know and responded to any questions quickly. The apartment has got all the basic amenities and you can live there for some time. Unfortunately being on the 24th floor with a strong, cold wind blowing around we could not sit on the balcony too long. The apartment was cold inside as it was not able to change the temperature from 21 degrees. Extra blankets would be helpful. The pillows were quite big, no choice of flat ones. Apartment was generally clean with individual attached bathrooms. Just spotted a baby cockroach in the shower area. Rooms are unable to be locked. No bidet. Kettle is badly burnt and should be replaced! Only has heater in one room besides at the main living room. Apartment fully furnished. Stunning ocean view and sunrise from the living room! Collection of apartment from 24hr safe box outside their office before proceeding to apartment which is about 10 mins walk away. Checkin is very easy and done by a key safe, I was able to check in early on the day which was nice. Apartment was large, spacious and modern for a comfortable stay. Well furnished with basic decor as you wold expect for a apartment in this location. Neds were comfy and bathrooms were clean. The couch had a few stains but again as expected for a holiday rental. Free wifi is easy and facilities in the Hilton were great, the pool bar was shut while we stayed but everything else was well maintained. Only negative is the wait time for lifts can be very long expecially during check in and check out times! Great value too and instructions are simple on leaving the apartment. The location is fantastic and the apartment itself was comfortable with everything we needed for a great holiday. The views were absolutely spectacular - we had both a beautiful sea view during the day and stunning city lights at night on the 21st floor. The beds were also very comfortable, which made a big difference after long days out. There were a couple of small things future guests might want to know. The apartment could have been a little cleaner on arrival, but nothing major and it didn’t affect our stay. Also, even on the 21st floor, the street noise carries at night - music, karaoke and general nightlife sounds - so light sleepers may want to keep that in mind. Overall, it was good accommodation and we had a great time. Would definitely stay here again, walking distance to everything- supermarkets, shops and beach, right in the middle of Surfers. No noise at night (level 18). Beautiful ocean views, clean, large and spacious apartment with everything you could need in the kitchen and laundry. Good instructions for key pick up and to the free parking. Good amount of space for an apartment. Facilities in the complex great with 3 pools, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym, 55th floor lounge for views etc. Downsides. No air conditioning in second bedroom (I think it's a study), not sure how good it would be when it hits 40C but decent enough in Autumn, can only have bedroom or living room on at one time, not both. Lifts are a huge hassle but should be fixed in a few months. One has been out for 3 months, some go to parking, some don't, some will go from 3rd floor pool, some won't etc. Unit is very nice but needs a few simple things fixing. Knob on oven needs replacing so it can be used without finding another way to turn it on. Lights under the shelves need replacing, light above bath needs replacing as well. Extraction fan in bathroom does not work. Shower attachment to wall needs fixing as it falls off and would have been like that for ages as rust stain below it. Kitchen needs a few more items that would make life easier such as tongs, oven glove, bottle opener, scissors which would only cost a few dollars.Posted on Googlececilia jenkins9 April 2026I had the most wonderful stay at The Moorings - Apt 39. The moment you walk in the view takes your breath away. Absolutely stunning views & you get to enjoy 2 balconies with different angles of the Surfers Paradise river. Below you can catch all the sight seeing cruises and has a great pub next door that is welcoming & also lets your dogs be with you!! The location is PERFECT & the apartment has all the amenities you need. It has a lovely retro charm in all the rooms and the views you really can't beat. The night time is SUBLIME! I didn't want to leave the apartment. Very clean and comfortable beds. Location is fantastic, close to everything. Free on site parking is a bonus, and def one of the main attractions that will keep me coming back. Unit was very spacious, views were to die for. Staff were very helpful, the hairdryer that was meant to be in the unit was not there, I emailed the provided email and the staff dropped off a hairdryer to our unit the very next day. On site gym was clean had everything we needed for a quick session. Pools were lovely and clean, great bonus to have a "calm adult type" pool with no splashing. Being so close to the trams was wonderful, we didn't need to take the car out at all! The apartment was lovely, the view was amazing. My only negative was there could have been a couple more dishwasher tablets provided and we had a lot of trouble connecting to our wifi. However, we had that rectified by the I.T person that the hotel recommended. Convenient position and plenty to do within walking distance. Rooms were clean and tidy, washing machine and dryer were very handy. The reception complained to us that this is a problem every day. A signige with residential parking p2 outside would help. I noticed about 3 cars driving confused in and out trying to find residential p2 parking at the time. The apartment was nice and clean and has perfect views of the ocean and also has a great pool and BBQ facilities. The location was great, a short walk to public transport, the beach and Cavill Avenue. It was our first ‘ long holiday ‘ as a couple without our 5 children. I was sceptical looking through photos of the property but they were all spot on! We received great communication and instructions for the check in process, we retrieved our keys from the office lockbox that is located a short walk away from the property. As soon as we opened the door I knew we’d made the right decision, the ocean views just slap you in the face! We sat on the balcony of an evening after long, fun filled days and got to wake up and see the ocean from our bed. The facilities are wonderful and shared with the Hilton Hotel, we used the amazing pools to start the day after our morning beach walks, the apartment was very spacious and had everything we required, there was some complimentary tea/coffee, sugar, milk, dish washing tablet/liquid, clothes washing powder and toilet paper, soap, shampoo/ conditioner to get us started. Having worked in motel housekeeping previously for a number of years my expectations are high and the Orchid definitely exceeded this.the apartment was spotless, located right in the centre of Surfers Paradise you can enjoy the atmosphere and close to everything you could ever need, I would not hesitate in recommending this property and we can’t wait to get the chance to visit again. Even though we were staying as a couple the apartment and facilities are very family friendly and the staff were all very helpful. I paid premium money for these rooms and there is a certain level of expectation that allis delivered. They did not deliver what was advertised . I lodged a complaint but no response from Holiday rentals . That is very upsetting. But, great location , rooms a tad tired and need a good clean as there ware stains . But kids had a great time . Good BBQ area . Pool (indoor and outdoor) and spa area were good - when operating . It is part of Peppers , but these are private owned units operated by Holiday Rentals. Very difficult to move in and out of the apartment if you have to do multiple trips using a lift. Very difficult to check out by 10.00 if lift isn’t available for multiple trips. It’s a shame that the apartments don’t provide a way to get your belongings upstairs in a safe and efficient manner. Parking in the basement was a little challenging due to the very tight spaces and the fact that each bay is numbered randomly so when you're trying to find the right one you have to look all around the parking area. Walking distance to restaurants and public transport close by. The unit is spacious and has everything you need, including cooking utensils, crockery , wine glasses- essential for drinks on the balcony! We loved our stay here. HRSP are the best to deal with , They let me change our dates a few times, due to unforeseen things happening without a problem and it was very easy to check in and return the key tags to the office after our stay. The laundry is great with a young family and a seperate bath/shower to wash of all that sand. The room, what a view! Location to bars, restaurants, icecream parlors, is literally down the lift and outside the front door. Entertainment you ask, there's buskers in the mall, an escape room around the corner, the surf club opposite the beach and the friendly rickshaw drivers if you feel like you want something a little different. A 2 minute walk to the light rail and 15 minutes later you're in the casino. Room was clean and what we needed for our stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. The multiple pool options meant the kids were occupied no matter the weather.
