What the Festival Is About
Beach Festival is actually a competition that is open to adults and children. It is composed of 5 different unique events. The event begins on October 10 and lasts from 7 in the morning until 11 a.m. To join, there’s a registration worth $20. Palm Beach on the Gold Coast is the main venue for the competition.
What to Do
Before you can participate, you need to choose among the 5 various races. The first one is the 5K run, which begins at 7 in the morning. Race 2 is at 7:45 a.m. and is a one-kilometer swim. Race 3 begins at 8:30 a.m. and can be either a 500-meter swim or a 3-kilometer beach run aquathon. Race 4 and 5 are ideal for the little ones. The former can be a 150-meter swim or a 1-kilometer beach run called Splash ’n’ Dash. The latter, on the other hand, is just a dash run that’s good for 1 kilometer. Both races begin at 9 a.m.
You can obtain the forms online. All finishers will get their prizes. A portion of the earnings will be given to Paradise Kids, a non-profit organization that supports both families and kids who are suffering from terminal illness and loss.
Though it’s a competition, many would surely enjoy and even forget the prizes as they pass through scenic Lacy’s Lane and the surf club of the Palm Beach. Swimming contests are held on the lagoon.
Those who don’t want to compete can still have fun. There are so many water activities that can be done within the area, including snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing.
