I’m sure you’re aware that the Gold Coast is a fantastic holiday haven with pristine beaches and wonderful tourist attractions on offer. However, what you may not be aware of is that it is soon set to become Australia’s leading shopping Mecca.

To cater to the growing number of international tourists, shopping centres on the Gold Coast are undergoing major development. Here are some shopping centres on the Gold Coast that are currently undergoing development.

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre has just completed a $670 million expansion making it the fourth largest shopping centre Australia. Pacific Fair has now been transformed from a shopping centre to a designer destination that attracts international tourists.

Robina Town Centre

Robina Town Centre is one of the most popular shopping centres and is already halfway through its $160 million expansion. Although Robina Town Centre only redeveloped areas a couple of years ago, in order to be competitive with Pacific Fair, new developments are underway.

Harbour Town

Harbour Town Gold Coast is the largest shopping centre in Australia, consisting of more than 220 outlets. This mall is also undergoing a $20 million expansion to accommodate many more designer brands and boutique stores.

Australia Fair Shopping Centre

Australia Fair Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a $15 million renovation. As the least visited shopping centre of the major shopping centres on the Gold Coast, this is one renovation which was a necessity to compete with the likes of Pacific Fair and Robina Town Centre.
