If you’re planning a trip to the Gold Coast just to party all night long, you’re not alone. You’ll find the whole strip filled with happy, beer-hic-upping folks especially during the Spring Break. There are more than 100 bars and clubs in the area, and you’ll see all of them fill up with serious partygoers during the peak season. Travelers who don’t have the chance to party hard in the golden Aussie shores though should visit the best five bars when they get the chance.
The Hard Rock Café has taken over the best summer destinations across the globe, so it’s no longer a surprise that it’s also the top bar franchise in the Gold Coast. Located at the Surfers Paradise, it attracts droves of partygoers, mostly tourists who come here to escape the cold weather someplace else. The crowd is pretty diverse, but majority of them are young college vacationers who come here for the food and impressive live music. While the beer’s slightly pricier, you’re at least sure that things are always interesting in this part of the coast.
The Fisherman’s Wharf at the Main Beach comes in a close second. Among all the clubs in the lot, the Wharf enjoys the best location. The old Fisherman’s Wharf was located where the Palazzo Versace now sits. While the reincarnation doesn’t share the old Gold Coast icon’s prestige, as Nirvana once played there, it’s still one of the best places to grab your beer. It’s always a full house on Sundays. The crowd here is also pretty young, most of them not older than 25 years old.
Back on the Surfers Paradise, another bar makes waves with beer lovers. The Surfers Paradise Beer Garden also packs quite a crowd. According to the locals, this is the place to go if you want the best live music in the strip. Its current owners spent more than 1 million dollars to get the tavern refurbished, and the improvements seem to be working. It remains one of the favorite bars along the Australian Gold Coast.
If you think that the night life in the Gold Coast is all about sitting back and listening to live music, you’re wrong. The Shooters Lounge Bar and Nightclub at the Surfers Paradise provides good club music all week long. It’s a party playground from Mondays with the Old Skool Mashups and throughout the week with electro, RNB, house, dance, and hip hop. The Shooters boasts of an excellent line up of master DJs so you can be sure that whoever you’re going to the club with, you’ll always groove to great music.
